FIEP books 2018 – Call for articles


„Physical Education in Secondary School: Researches - Best Practices - Situation”


In 2018 FIEP is planning publish book „Physical Education in Secondary School: Researches - Best Practices - Situation”with subtopics:

Study /Review on the effects (benefits) of physical education in secondary school (for motor learning, motor development; academic achievement; physical education and prevention of overweight and obesity; PE and play-sports; PE and Life skills, etc.).

Presentation of the main projects and best practices

Review: physical education in the secondary school curriculum in different countries (number of hours of P.E. at school, organizing the curriculum, etc.) and Teacher Education.


We are offering the opportunity to contribute a “chapter” article for publication to FIEP delegates and members.

“History of Volleyball in Europe”


Section for history of PE and Sports of FIEP Europe continues the Project of writing of History of PE and Sports of European countries. After successfully finished publishing of History of PE in Europe (I and II) (2015), History of Football in Europe (2016) and History of Basketball in Europe (2017) we continue towards our activities planned for 2018 – preparing and publishing our next edition - History of Volleyball in Europe (Beginnings and development of volleyball in Europe).

Regarding technical aspects of manuscripts, all manuscripts should have the following information:
Country (where manuscript is coming from)
Title: BEGINNINGS AND DEVELOPMENT OF VOLLEYBALL IN (certain country)
For every author separately: Name and Surname of the author, Institution (i.e. University of Banja Luka, Faculty of Physical Education and Sports)

Papers should be prepared in A4 format, Times New Roman, font size 10, spacing 1, all margins 2.5 cm, References Style - Chicago) Length of the manuscript should be maximum 10 pages, including pictures, tables and references. All papers should be prepared according to IMRaD format. Texts should be written in English. Please note that only papers that pass the reviews will be published.
Deadline for sending manuscripts is 15th of February 2018.
