Report from 8th FIEP European Congress and FIEP Delegates Meeting, Bratislava, Slovakia, 29.8. – 1. 9. 2013
8 th FIEP European Congress was held from 29th of August to 1st of September 2013 in Bratislava, Slovakia. Topic of congress was “Physical Education and Sports Perspective of Children and Youth in Europe“. Congress was organized by FIEP, Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, Comenius University in Bratislava, Physical Education Teachers Assosiation and its partners with patronage of Ministry of Education, Science, Research and Sport of Slovak Republic. Special thanks belong to the FIEP national delegate of Slovakia Ludmila Zapletalová and to all others, who participated on preparation of this important event.
In congress were registered 231 participants from 46 countries and 5 continents. During congress was presented 152 papers and posters. In opening ceremony participated Dušan Čaplovič, Minister of Education, Science, Research and Sport of Slovak Republic. Ken Hardman (Great Britain), Herbert Haag (Germany) and Ludmila Zapletalová (Slovakia) was awarded by “Medalha Manoel Gomes Tubino” and Ivan Prskalo (Croatia), Jela Labudová (Slovakia), Emanoel Adamakis (Greece) and Arunas Emeljanovas (Lithuania) by “FIEP Europe Thulin Award 2013”.
FIEP Delegates Meeting
(31th of August 2013)
FIEP delegates meeting was held 31th of August 2013 in hotel Sorea Regia. In meeting participated also Jorge Otanes (Argentina), FIEP World Vice-president for South America, Toshiko Sughino (Japan), FIEP World Vice-president for Asia and colleagues from Latin-American and African countries.
1.90 Years of Activities for Physical Education
FIEP Europe President Branislav Antala presented in his short presentation history and activities of FIEP during last 90 years, especially its activities in Europe. He presented new FIEP Europe Executive Board for period 2013 – 2016 and Presidents of European international sections. More information about history of FIEP in the world is possible to find in publication “FIEP – 90 Years of Service for Physical Education” ditributed during congress to all congress participants.
2. New FIEP National Delegates (ND), Assistant National Delegates (AND)
During FIEP delegates meeting were confirmed new FIEP national and assistant national delegates:

3. FIEP Europe Action Plan 2013 - 2016
FIEP Europe General Secretary Dario Novak (Croatia) presented FIEP Europe Action Plan 2013 – 2016 prepared by Branislav Antala, Ken Hardman and Dario Novak. Content of plan was prepared in two parts – Management and Activities. Document was accepted by all national delegates. Full version will be send to national delegates during September 2013 and it will be add in FIEP Europe website also.
4. FIEP Europe Publication 2014 “Physical Education – Quality of Management and Teaching"
In 2014 FIEP in cooperation with EUPEA (PE Alliance) is planning to publish publication „Physical Education – Quality of Management and Teaching“. We are offering the opportunity to contribute a “chapter” article for publication to FIEP and EUPEA delegates and members.

5. 9th FIEP European Congress
Representatives of Organising committee (Daniela Dasheva and Stefka Djobova) had presentation about next FIEP European Congress. The 9th FIEP European congress will be held in National Sport Academy “Vasil Levski”, Sofia, Bulgaria from the 9th to 12th of October 2014. Topic will be “Physical Education and Sports – Competences for Life”, Congress will be organised together with 7th International Scientific Congress – Sport, Stress, Adaptation”
6. FIEP World Congress 2014, Vierumaki, Finland
Representative of Organising committee (Airikki Pousi) had presentation about next FIEP World Congress with topic “Worldwide Inovate Physical Education”. It will be held in Vierumaki, Finland from the 5th to 8th of August 2014. Congress will be organised by Sport Institute of Finland and its partners together with 10th International Seminar for Physical Education Teachers.

Andrzej Klimek, Rector of University School of Physical Education in Crakow in cooperation with Leszek Korzeniowsky proposed their University as place of 10 th FIEP European Congress 2015. FIEP delegates appreciated this offer and confirmed Krakow as place of 10 th FIEP European Congress 2015. |
